Zack’s path as a professional designer and entrepreneur started in 1995. Zack started his first business, Greenfield Graphics & Printing in 1997 which was the first EPA-Certified “Green” graphics company in the nation. The company’s unique designs developed a strong reputation over it’s 8 years. Over the past 5 years, Zack has served as the CEO of ZDCA Design & Development where his broad skills in leadership, creative direction, brand strategy and design have thrived. Since ZDCA’s humble beginnings, the company has grown into one of the most widely recognized and successful design and development firms in Sonoma County.
President & CTO
Kate Schneider is a web applications engineer with extensive and diverse experience in the high-tech industry. She began her career in 1995 at a small computer magazine in Emeryville, California, and has forged many professional relationships and business endeavors ever since. Establishing ZDCA with Zack Darling in 2009 has been the pinnacle of Kate’s career. With a passion for data and information as the center of her world, Kate brings the highest standards of work and accomplishment to her teams and an extensive list of experience points and knowledge to deliver proven results.
Creative Director & Production Manager
Laurel has been an artist since a young age, when she first discovered drawing and music. After working for years as a freelance designer for several Fortune 500 Companies, she is thrilled to be a part of a team that shares her values and work ethic. At ZDCA, Laurel oversees all production, managing 30-40 projects at any given time, including (but not limited to) graphic, web and print design, creative direction and client/vendor communications. She is responsible for keeping the business running smoothly, creating engaging and compelling art, maintaining client happiness and producing the quality of work we have become known for.
Clifford’s interest in producing visual media began in earnest around 1989, with junior college studies in film, photography, and art history, including crafts study such as ceramics and jewelry making. In 1994, at San Francisco State University (SFSU), he continued visual and interactive design studies in the Broadcast Communications Department, within the then-emerging digital media curricula. Clifford completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in the Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts Department (BECA) at SFSU with a Minor in English Literature (Magna Cum Laude).
Daniel De Guia
Digital Marketing Strategist
Daniel is a life-long Sonoma County resident, who grew up learning how to use computers to make his life easier. He joined ZDCA in the spring of 2013 and brought with him years of project management, award-winning online content production, account management, and client support experience. Daniel also prides himself on being a 3-time End Of The World survivor, an amateur fitness junkie, geek, bookworm, writer, and gamer.
Project Manager & Social Media Marketing
Natalia is a marketer by trade and personality. From conferences and trade shows to themed special events, online marketing, social media, and web design, Natalia enjoys working one-on-one with clients to find success in the little things that paint a big picture. She spent 10+ years in radio broadcasting, doing everything from voiceover work to production. Her passion for people and helping make their visions become a reality make her a wonderful addition to ZDCA.
Finance & Legal
Having worked in everything from coffee to tiny houses, Sarah’s mixture of curiosity and love of learning creates a perfect combination for all things nerdy. Sarah’s broad history brings a knowledge of business challenges, small and large, along with creative ways to solve them to ZDCA. After receiving a degree in accounting, she continued her intellectual pursuits with a paralegal certification, became a notary public, and is currently in law school.
