Rural Water Resources Website Launch
The Rural Water Resources (RWR) project combines sophisticated search and forum features with cohesive interface design to capture a wealth of content on a critical subject. Key to the site is easy use of comprehensive information for an audience likely inexperienced in the many issues surrounding proper well water management.
One major aspect of RWR is the flexible search of hundreds of service providers with important information listed such as type of services and licenses for each contractor. Integrated are ratings both from third parties like Yelp and Angie’s List, but also a star rating feature to allow the RWR audience to rate providers locally.
The Service Provider search offers quick access of service providers names as well as a filter search based on three simple menus to select location, type of customer, and types of services. The result is a refined list of optimal providers triangulated on tangible audience needs and not a glut of hundreds of listings to lose viewership of overwhelmed or under-educated users.
Rounding the experience is a useful Learning Center section complete with broad overviews and detailed pages using a flexible table creation feature, a dynamic sidebar of links relevant to the current content, and a tooltip-enabled glossary of terms throughout to engage and inform everyone from large-scale commercial business owners to new-home buyers.
